Introduced in February 2011, the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) was based on Intel's next-generation "Sandy Bridge" architecture, and improved on its predecessor, the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) with faster processors and graphics, and the inclusion of Apple's new Thunderbolt port. It shipped in two configurations:2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 320 GB hard disk, 4 GB of RAM, $11992.7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, 500 GB hard disk, 4 GB of RAM, $1499Build-to-order options included 8 GB of RAM, 500 or 750 GB hard disks, and 128, 256, or 512 GB SSDs. The MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) was replaced only eight months later by the MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011).
